Welcome

Year 5

Home Learning

Please find attached a learning grid for your child to complete at home in the event of a school closure.  It is essential that your child keeps up with their learning over this period to ensure that they continue to make progress and retain everything they have worked so hard on this year.

Please encourage your child to spend a minimum of two hours a day on these activities. Your child can tick off each activity as he/she completes it. Any child who completes all of the activities will receive dojos on our return to school.

In addition to completing the learning grid, your child would also benefit from using our home learning apps. Your child’s Spelling Shed, Maths Shed and Times tables Rockstar logins are in the home learning folder they were given at school.

Dear parents,

Welcome back to school, I hope you all had an enjoyable summer holiday. I am very excited to be working with your children again and also meeting new class members. Miss Euston will be teaching the children on Tuesday mornings until playtime and on Wednesday afternoons. Mrs Stanganini will be teaching the children on Thursday afternoons. We are also very lucky to have Mrs Wadsworth supporting the children with their learning. I look forward to seeing you at our Meet the Teacher and Parent Meetings and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns or queries.

Mrs Whittaker
