Balls of Emotions
At Holy Cross and All Saints Primary, we use an approach based around the 'Balls of Emotions'. The 'Balls of Emotions' are colourful, child friendly images used to represent each emotion, encouraging children to talk about and express their emotions.
The children understand that their feelings can be big or small balls of emotions which they can manage using different strategies.
EMOTIONS AS VISITORS
We encourage the children to think of emotions as visitors that come and go. Some are comfortable and some are uncomfortable but we learn different strategies to help us manage them all. No matter how big or small, all emotions are important.
