The aims of PE and Sport at Holy Cross and All Saints RC Primary.
An effective PE curriculum is broad and balanced and allows for childhood health benefits of physical activity to be transferred into potential learned behaviours in later life.
A rich PE curriculum allows pupils to develop fundamental motor skills that in turn develop competence, confidence and enjoyment in a safe and successful environment over a wide range of sports and physical activities. The curriculum promotes opportunities for children to learn valuable lessons around responsibility, resilience, self-discipline; leading to children who are confident in solving problems and understand the importance of teamwork and self-development through enhanced creativity, cooperation and leadership.
