Meet our mascot for Promoting Peace, Daisy the Dove, who calls us to be peacemakers.
Below are some of the ways we uphold this principle:
We teach children that peace begins with them, encouraging calm words, gentle actions, and thoughtful choices that help everyone feel safe and respected.
Restorative approaches help pupils solve conflicts fairly, giving them time to listen, understand one another, and rebuild friendships rather than blame or punish.
Our Worship and RE curriculum highlight Jesus as the model of peace, inspiring children to follow His example by showing forgiveness, patience, and compassion.
Pupils take on roles such as playground buddies and Special Friends, helping younger children feel supported and ensuring playtimes are happy, calm, and inclusive.
Classroom practices promote peaceful relationships, with children learning to take turns, share fairly, and use respectful language during discussions and group work.
Prayer and reflection encourage pupils to think about peace in the wider world, praying for those affected by conflict and considering how they can be peacemakers in their own lives.
