Solidarity

Meet our mascot for Solidarity, Shristi the Bear, who reminds us to show we care.
Below are some of the ways we uphold this principle:

  • We teach children that we belong to one human family, wherever we live in the world, and that every person is our neighbour.

  • Our Welcoming Ministry plays a key role in showing solidarity, greeting visitors, new families, and newcomers to the school with warmth and kindness, ensuring everyone feels included from the moment they arrive.

  • Pupils learn about global issues such as poverty, conflict, and climate change, developing empathy for people whose lives are very different from their own.

  • Through CAFOD links and global learning projects, children stand alongside communities around the world, understanding how their actions can bring hope and support.

  • In daily school life, pupils show solidarity by supporting classmates, welcoming new pupils into their classes, and ensuring no one is left out or alone.

  • Prayer and worship help children reflect on the needs of others, encouraging them to think beyond themselves and act with compassion for people near and far.
