Collective Worship

Collective Worship at Holy Cross and All Saints is a daily, joyful expression of faith—helping children grow spiritually, deepen their relationship with God, and live out the school’s mission to Love Jesus, Love Learning, Love Life. Each day includes a dedicated act of worship, celebrated as a whole school, in key stages, or within classes. The weekly pattern offers rich variety—from a Gospel‑focused Monday Mission Assembly to class‑based prayer services, Christian meditation, pupil‑led worship, and Praise and Sing Assembly on Fridays.

Daily prayer routines help children recognise God’s presence throughout the day. Pupils pray Morning Prayer, Grace before and after meals, and the Examen at hometime. Worship follows the structure of Gather – Listen – Respond – Go Forth (Mission), enabling children to enter a sacred space, hear scripture, reflect, and leave with a mission to live out the Gospel.

Throughout the year, pupils also take part in Masses, seasonal liturgies, Rosary sessions, Stations of the Cross, the May Procession, and other celebrations that reflect the richness of the Church’s liturgical life. Classrooms support this prayerful culture through sacred spaces that reflect the current liturgical season.
