Prayer and Liturgy Policy

As a Catholic school, we are committed to nurturing the spiritual life of every member of our community. Our Prayer and Liturgy Policy outlines the principles, expectations, and practices that guide our collective worship and faith formation. It ensures that prayer, liturgical celebration, and opportunities for reflection are woven meaningfully into the life of the school. This policy is reviewed annually to ensure it remains faithful to Church teaching, responsive to the needs of our community, and reflective of our mission to place Christ at the centre of all we do.

The Celebration of the Word Progression document sets out how children develop in prayer, scripture, and liturgical participation from EYFS to Upper Key Stage 2. It explains the purpose of sacred spaces, the introduction of scripture, gestures, and the senses, and how expectations grow as children mature.
