Meet our Catholic Social Teaching mascot for Participation - Patariki the Penguin.
Below are just some of the ways we uphold the principle of Participation in school:
- Children join many leadership groups (Pupil Ministries) such as our Citzenship Team, Laudato Si Team, GIFT CARITAS Ambassadors, Welcomin Ministry and Reading Ministry. In these groups, the children help make decisions about school life, giving feedback and sharing ideas.
- Participation in charity events such as CAFOD fundraising, Advent and Lenten appeals and foodbank collections.
- Participation in community and social action through environmental projects led by the Laudato Si' Team such as local litter picks.
- Pupils regularly read, sing, act, write prayers, and help prepare sacred spaces for Mass, assemblies, and Celebrations of the Word. They take an active role in the faith life of the school.
- Across all subjects, pupils take part in group tasks, paired reading, collaborative projects, and problem‑solving, learning that teamwork helps everyone succeed.
