Earth Day

Our Laudato Si’ Team take an active role in organising and leading our school’s Earth Day celebrations each year. Last year, they helped plan a range of creative activities across the school to help us reflect on how we can care for God’s creation. Children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 decorated their own paper plate Earths, expressing the beauty of our common home through colour and creativity. Key Stage 2 pupils took on a more practical project by designing tin can planters, with the best creations now brightening our quiet area and school garden.

As part of our commitment to Catholic Social Teaching—especially stewardship of creation—the Laudato Si’ Team also led and organised class community litter picks, helping to care for our local environment and showing that small actions can make a big difference. Their leadership and enthusiasm helped make Earth Day a meaningful celebration of faith, responsibility, and hope.
