We place a high value on involving families in prayer, recognising that faith grows most deeply when it is lived both in school and at home. Prayer is not limited to the classroom; it is part of the shared life of our whole community, helping children experience the love, hope, and closeness of God in their everyday routines. To support this, we offer a range of opportunities that help families pray together and nurture their spiritual life beyond the school day.
Seasonal Prayer Bags — During Lent and Easter, every child takes home a prayer bag filled with age‑appropriate resources to help families reflect on the season, pray together, and deepen their understanding of these important moments in the Church’s year.
Stay and Pray Sessions — Families are regularly invited into school to join their children for a short Celebration of the Word. These gentle, reflective gatherings allow parents and carers to experience prayer as their children do and to share in their spiritual journey.
Before‑School Rosary (May and October) — In the months traditionally dedicated to Our Lady, families are welcomed to pray the Rosary together before school begins, creating a peaceful and prayerful start to the day.
Lenten Morning Prayer — Throughout Lent, we offer simple before‑school prayer sessions for families, encouraging a shared time of reflection and preparation for Easter.
Family Masses — We celebrate Mass regularly and warmly invite families to join us, strengthening our sense of community and living out our Catholic mission together.
EYFS Welcome Mass - We also hold an annual Welcome Mass in our parish community for all our new families, a special celebration where we come together in prayer and fellowship. Our Year 6 Special Friends and their families join the children for this occasion, helping them feel supported, welcomed, and part of the wider school and parish family.
These practices reflect our commitment to building a school family rooted in faith, community, and the Gospel values that guide us.
