Week 8 Home Learning w/b Monday 18th 2020

Hi again Year 6,

Its great to see that many of you are working hard and doing the home learning we set each week. We’re trying hard to give you a variety of different activities to help you keep learning well and enjoy the different types of work. Try, at least, to do some of the work every week (especially maths and English).

We still love to see your work and some children have put lots of their work into their portfolios on Class Dojo. Please do this if you can OR just message us with a photo or two of your work.

Remember – if you need any support please message us and we’ll try to help you.

Maths – please look carefully at the hole learning plan to make sure you do the correct unit – we are working one week behind so it is the unit called – Summer Term Week 4 w/b 11/5/20. We’ve put all the work here on the website and on Class Dojo.

We’re so proud of how well you are doing at home. Keep working hard and take care of yourselves.

Week 7 home learning w/b Monday 11th May 2020

Hi Year 6,

Thanks to all of you who are still working hard. Please keep trying your best! We're really proud of the fact you are trying to do this work we've set for you. Still remember the maths, reading and writing are the key things to do every day.

We'd love to see some of your work. The best way is to upload it onto your portfolio on Class Dojo OR you could send us a photo. It's a great record of your work and the amount of effort you've put into it.

If you need any support, remember that your parents can send us a message on Class Dojo.

Check that you're doing the right unit of maths again this week. Summer Term Week 3 (we are working a week behind so it says w/b 4/5/20 Summer Term Week 3) . I've put all the home learning on Class Dojo too.

Take care and work hard on your home learning.

From Miss Euston and Mr Thomas

Week 6 home learning w/b Monday 4th May 2020

Hi Year 6,

Thanks to all of you who are doing your home learning and carrying on working hard. We know it is difficult for you to do all your learning at home, while school is closed. Please keep trying your best!

We continue to be proud of the fact you are working hard to keep up with your work. Remember the maths, reading and writing are the key things to do every day.

Please let us see the great work you've been doing. The best way is to upload it onto your portfolio on Class Dojo OR you could send us a photo. It's a great record of your work and the amount of effort you've put into it.

If you need any support, remember that your parents can send me a message on Class Dojo.

Look carefully at the instructions for maths this week to make sure you do the correct unit of work. I've put all the home learning on Class Dojo.

Take care and work hard on your home learning.

Week 5 home learning w/b Monday 27th April 2020

Hi Year 6,

I hope you got used to the new way of learning last week. It's really important that you keep doing the work we set. Remember we're making sure you are 'high school ready'! We are so proud of the fact you are trying your best to keep up with your learning. Please make sure you keep up with the maths, reading and writing in particular.

It's so lovely when we have feedback from you and we see the great work you've been doing. You could ask your parent to take a photo of something you've done this week and upload it onto your portfolio on Class Dojo. It's a great record of your work and the amount of effort you've put into it.

Please let us know if you have any difficulty logging on to any of the websites. We'll try our best to sort things out for you.

Look carefully at the instructions for maths this week to make sure you do the correct unit of work. I've put the Rising Stars 'Monday Maths Test on Class Dojo along with a helpful tips sheet for work on ratio. I've also made an example of a treasure map for your geography task (also on Class Dojo).

Lots of luck this week

From Miss Euston and Mr Thomas

WEEK 4 Home learning 20th April 2020

Hi Year 6.

We hope you had a good Easter break and are ready to get back to your school work. We are really missing being in class with you and hope you let us know how you're getting on with your work on Class Dojo.

Here is the new work for your 4th week of home learning (week beginning Monday 20th April 2020). We've given you lots of different activities.

Remember to try to have a daily timetable as it's better to have a routine when you do your work. It is most important to do some reading, writing and maths every day as you would do if you were in class. If there are any things that you find tricky, please ask someone for help or just try your best.

Also remember that you can contact me and Mr Thomas on Class Dojo.

Good luck this week!

from Miss Euston

P.S. This week we will be sending a login for Rising Stars Reading Planet to you on Class Dojo.

Home Learning

Please find an electronic copy of the learning timetable we sent home for your child to complete at home during our school’s closure. It is essential that your child keeps up with their learning over this period to ensure that they continue to make progress and retain everything they have worked so hard on this year.

We have also provided log ins to our home learning apps and extra work for your child to complete.

useful websites:

Spelling/ Maths Shed

Times Tables Rockstar

Code.org

BBC Bitesize KS2 Primary

Purple Mash

Twinkl

It is vitally important that your child continues to read daily. Watch Newsround and keep up to date.

Mr Thomas and Miss Euston can be contacted through class dojo or by email and will respond as soon as possible. We will also be contacting parents regularly to check in on how things are going and how the children are getting on with their work.
